Next Instructor Training - June 17th Through June 19th of 2016

Dates: June 17th to June 19th, 2016

Training Schedule:
Friday:        8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday:   9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Sunday:      9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location:  Denver, CO (Location Details to be determined)
*Lodging is not included. Check in for out-of-town guest will begin Thursday, June 16th at 5pm.
 

Format:
This course will be a retreat training to give an overview of the mission, vision and goals of the organization and what is to be expected in contracted teaching with Be Mindful. Attendees will learn our methodology of teaching, how to apply various pedagogy to meet the individual needs of the community being served, differences in teaching adults vs children and how to work with and correspond with clients as a representative of Be Mindful. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and facilitate teaching the key exercises in a supportive and engaging environment. You will leave feeling confident and empowered to facilitate, teach, and present mindfulness interventions and practice.


Training Cost:  $550 (this includes lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

*Lodging, breakfast and Dinner is not included. We will have some recommendations for lodging as we approach date.

Application Process for Training

Step 1: Attendees must fill out an APPLICATION and meet prerequisites for this training (see list below for perquisite requirements).

Step 2: Upon acceptance of application you may ENROLL for the class.

Prerequisites for Be Mindful Instructor Training

Be Mindful requires that all of our instructors have a minimum of one year personal mindfulness practice and training in a minimum of two of the following:

1. Completion of a 6 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course
Suggested courses:

    • Kaiser Permanente offers MBSR classes at a reasonable price.
    • Online Mindfulness training

2. Completion of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course
Suggested course:

    • Online MBCT training

3. Curriculum Training such as Mindful Schools, .b, or MindUP

4. An extensive retreat may be substituted on a case by case basis.
